Default Picking up a Q7 today...

Hi - picking up a new Q7 today. So little inventory in Dallas. Wanted Prestige with Black Optics and Driver assist...not one with all those. Might go with either a Prestige sans BO, or a Premium Plus full loaded with everything sans 21's.

I recently had a 16 S5 - and now have an S6 that I will be keeping.

Searched some threads...but no really clear info on wheel upgrades.

I figure I can buy a loaded P+ or Prestige sans BO - and throw 21s or 22's on and then wrap all the chrome and roof (I do that on most my cars anyway).

I like the BO 21's - but Hartmann does not make the replicas in that size. Can check on Ebay and classifieds here for take offs. Any other places that might have stock looking 21's?

There are ton of aftermarket 21 and 22 options...but I prefer to keep as stock looking as possible.

We got Orca Black over black Prestige with black headliner. Most of the titanium black package I can do with me just buying wheels and having any thing shiny vinyl wrapped. I was planning on going to 21s or 22's - but now I'm thinking I might just find a set of 20's and use the tires that came with it. The roads here are crap...as I've found with 3 bent rims on my 16 S6.

Sure, there may not have been many in the DFW area, but couldn't you have asked your dealership to look at dealers in other parts of the country? Black on black with Ti Optic is somewhat common, especially in the Chicago area.

Yes I could have - but also could have just ordered it. But we didnt feel like waiting and this particular dealer did a great job with over 6k off and a good number on our trade - a 16 Infiniti QX70S. So like I said, having the trim wrapped black and wheel swap is easy. There are no suspension differences to consider.

I am also contemplating swapping my '16 S6 as this dealer is discounting their 18 S6 by a little over 13k. I only got 4% when I bought mine in Beverly Hills.

I see. I know custom ordering one was a 3-4 month ordeal but from another state may have been a week, tops.

I say this because it's an option we are exploring ourselves as we're trying to avoid a custom order and vehicles are showing up within 700 or so miles.
