Cool thanks. I just couldn't justify spending OEM money given I'll only be using it for a motorcycle carrier and not actual towing.

Yes, I have the hands free trunk. It works fine. You cannot kick the center (the hitch is there), but the sides work OK.

This is how "before market" trailer hitch looks like in Europe. It includes trailer assistant option as well. From outside it is hard even to determine, does Q7 has trailer hitch or not.

Which is great if you want to use it only for towing. However if you want to attach other things such as bike rack or storage box, you can't.

Why you can't? You can attach bike rack as well.

The bike racks in US (like Thule) mount into a hitch receiver (1.25" or 2") such as this:



The swiveling ***** doesn't have this particular option ......

If you don't have the hitch receiver, you would either have to have a different type of bike rack or carry it on the roof rack.

No worries, it is Audi original part, you can buy in any dealership, they offer it with two Audi designed bags...
