Air conditioning is underpowered.
I have a 2017 Q7 and I live in the mid Atlantic. I don’t know how you guys do it in the south or Midwest with the Q, the A/C is really underpowered. It’s always blowing on high even when it’s 80 outside.

The whole HVAC system of Q7 is really disappointing: it is never warm enough in our winters here (-30C) and also not cold enough in hot summer days, and the noise from the pillar behind driver is driving me crazy!
Audi should have someone reading this forum. In contrast to our MDX, it's a joke!

Daaaaang guys maybe something is improved for 2019. I’ve owned so many vehicles. The worst being a VW CC and BMW X5. The Q7 has amongst the best ac I’ve ever had. And what takes the cake is the fan is quiet(but not underpowered) on most settings.

I agree. The AC on my old Q was definitely underpowered, but my 2019 is like a freezer--and I live in the deep south. That is particularly impressive to me given the volume of the interior that it has to cool.

For those that think the AC is underpowered do you have a dark exterior and interior? I have a 2017 that is dark and feel it is underpowered but it gets really hot inside and the dash incredibly hot and is like having a heater in the car. I have a lighter colored 2019 and that AC seems to work better. Might just be in my head.

Wow. I have a black/black 2017 Q7 and I’m in Houston which has got to be one of the hottest, most humid environments a car can live in. I think the A/C is more than adequate. Certainly as good as any other car I’ve owned. Mine is garaged most of the time during the day but sits in the sun occasionally. Really important to roll the windows down and exhaust the super heated air when you fire up the car if it’s been sitting in the sun. I find fan noise etc. totally acceptable.

I have a Daytona Grey SQ5 with black interior and live in Central Florida. I was just thinking today that it has one of the best car AC systems I have ever had. It cools theSQ5 down really fast after sitting in the sun for hours and I eventually have to bump the temp up to keep it from freezing me out!
I do not have the moonroof in mine though and summer heat is one of the reasons I sought an SQ5 with no moonroof. I was driving a loaner Q5 last week. It had the moonroof option and I could literally feel the heat coming through the fabric "sunscreen"
