Not horrible. Any idea what your tongue weight is?

I've been kind of thinking about installing some helper bags to reduce the squat, but want to see how bad the squat is with my boat connected before any decisions are made.

No idea; probably should though.

Thanks for the pix. I'm spending the $$ and taking the delay to get AS on my new Q7.

What about those bars you show? Are they Audi bars and can you say how quiet/noisy they are?

I will need cross bars, but have always gone with Yakima or Thule since they are easier to use with my kayak saddles. I have Thule aero bars on my A4 Avant and use a wind fairing, but it is still sufficiently noisy that I take them off when not going out with the kayaks.

They're the Audi bars. Fairly certain they are made by Thule. The rubber insert that goes into the t-slot is exactly the same as my other set of Thule aero bars. The Audi bars, even with the ski attachment, is very quiet.

Thanks. I'll probably get a pair of the Audi setup. My Thule's on the A4 fit the "rail" but do not have any nubbins on the inside to fit the two holes (per side per bar) that look like they are intended to prevent the clamps from sliding backwards. I do worry about wind load when I have two 18' kayaks on the roof, especially since the modern Audi's do not have two front tie down points.
