Default Any idea how much gas consumption when engine is running?

Can someone help with this: leaving the car on parking lot but with engine and AC on, how much gas consumption will it be in 2 hours?

I tried to find out for you by letting the car idle inside the garage but I got real sleepy and took a 6 hour nap. Car was still running though.

My Q5 3.0T used to show fuel consumption at idle, and since it’s the same engine as in the Q7 I expect the numbers to be similar. On a cold start it is 1.5 L/hr and for a warmed engine it is 0.5 L/ hr (AC off), which is surprisingly low. With AC on, I’d say 1 L/hr is fairly close.

thank you! In the summer time I travel with my dog but during the food time, I have to leave him in the car with AC on. Now I have a very good idea of fuel consumption, than you again!

Duh, missed that.
But I'm curious as to why the consumption is needed. Is it an environmental thing? Cost thing? Just curious and no judgement. We all have our own needs and desires.

Sometimes the dinner will last two hours and longer. Just want to make sure that I come back and there are still enough gas for me to drive home
