Anyone's exhaust tips look like this?

Both tips look a little different in terms of corrosion/erosion. I have tried multiple metal polishes without success. I think they need to be machine polished. Anyone else seen this kind of damage on their exhaust tips on the Q7? And tips? Thanks!

My TDi tips look brand new at 88k miles. Something looks wrong with yours.

The 2020 Q7 resolves this issue.

So it's a known problem to Audi? Any chance Audi would replace the tips under warranty?

It’s not a known problem. He means the ‘20 Q7 will have no exposed exhaust tips whatsoever, like the new Q5, A6...

That's an interesting find, if anyone tries these would love to get some opinions, they don't look too bad, and those who wanted to blackout the exhaust tips area, they could just paint this and stick it on.
It must get pretty hot at the tips, would double sided tape be strong enough to hold this for long?
