Ok, I can’t get google maps or Waze to display, yes, I downloaded the largest Apple update, what am I doing wrong?

Google maps was recently updated and is showing up on CarPlay - Waze isn’t yet for me.

I’ve used CarPlay before so I know how to turn it on, or just simply plug the cable to the phone and it automatically comes on, but Waze nor Goggle Maps will display. I just updated the google maps app and I’ll try later to see if that works. I was thinking there would be an icon on the screen for either but there isn’t.

yeah I am part of the waze beta, but google maps should be available to all.

I’ve used Google Maps the last couple days. Haven’t had any problems.

I do wish it had integration into the virtual cockpit or even the HUD when providing directions. Regardless the software is still light years better than the native Audi nav system. Moving around on the map is still clunky. The trackpad should control scrolling around the map and the dial should adjust zooming, but you are still forced to click on navigation arrows to pan and zoom.
