So i did European Delivery on my 2018 Q7 with BOP. When i picked it up in Germany, the Q has SS tips.

Then when it arrived to the states, i picked it up from dealer with Blacked out exhaust tips.

Does that make any sense to you guys? Don't know how i feel about the black tips as it hides the definition of the exhaust openings, but i am shocked they did something like that.

Does EU prohibit black tips or something?

The reason I didnt get BOP was it was incomplete back in 2017. I would have loved if they had black tips amongst other things back then

So in 2018 USA models come with black tips?

EU probably doesnt allow those for whatever reason which is why it had SS while i drove around there

Yes, I believe in 2018 the BOP comes with black tips, and perhaps a few other black touches. For 2017, the BOP looked incomplete imo. Pretty amazing the level of detail that Audi adhered to during your EU delivery

agreed. They even removed my inconspicuous austria/slovenia autobahn toll stickers from the windshield. LOL

i never paid attention to that. like i said, my surprise was seeing SS tips in europe and Audi changing it to black in USA

Yup, initially, the BOP came with SS exhaust tips which was later on changed to black.

Black exhaust tips are a port installed option on all Q7s so maybe they are port installed on BOP Q7s at port?
