How can I tell is Audi Connect is working?

Wish I could help, but I've found this to be very confusing also.
On my smartphone I'm getting the message under myaudi: "The Audi connect infotainment services are not yet connected to the vehicle. Please enter the 8-digit PIN in the vehicle MMI: (code displayed)
This, despite the fact that I'm nearly positive that I entered the code before.
So question: What are the exact steps I need to take in order to get to the screen so I can enter the code again?
And once that's done, what are the steps needed to get the center screen to display maps from say Google Maps or Waze, as they appear on my Android smartphone?

I have a service appt w/Audi this Wednesday and this is on the list to address: is Audi Connect working?

You're asking a pretty vague question because Audi Connect encompasses many features. Have you looked in your manual to see what features Audi Connect offers and see if they work?

I started a separate but related thread for this. My service (receiving remote vehicle status information) works approximately 50% of the time and when it does the oil level status information works 0% of the time. Dealership is no help. They told me it was a T-mobile issue. However, my wife has the identical vehicle, phone and cell service (we are on the same plan) and she gets remote status information reliably including oil level status. Additionally, if it was just a T-mobile issue, I should be receiving information reliably on the desktop version of the app (thru myAudi web page) - which doesn't receive data through my personal cell service.

Perhaps you have an issue with the simcard in your vehicle.
