In less than 90 days, brand new Audi Q7 windshield cracked. It is not covered under warranty, there is no external debris damage either. Crack just appeared. Wondering if there is a pattern other owners have seen. MFG defect or poor construction. Painful to see a new crack developing this crack. Anyone else have ideas or suggestions?

Cracks seldom just appear. There is usually a crack caused by impact. If you are suggesting a defect, no, I havent heard many here

Same thing, no damage. The crack just appeared and growing... $1500 to replace with camera calibration.

We live in a climate that in winters the spread sand on the roads (for snow). Most/all cars get windshield chips. Most are tiny and nothing happens (you can barely see them) but as soon as I get hit by one I go and fill it immediately. Often even very small ones develop to a full crack soon after.
Never heard of a windshield cracking on its own.
