Before anyone freaks out, the suspicion is that the resulting split was due to the fact that it was most likely not a single original vehicle, but a Frankencar put together from two different vehicles, or just a shoddy repair work through bonding and not (very expensive) aluminum welding.

The rear license plate is obviously non-USA, but the front license plate bracket looks like USA. Not sure if all versions of the Q7 have this same front bracket if it's not deleted.
I would have through a front non-USA bracket would look like the one in this thread: https://www.audiworld.com/forums/q7-...laced-2951607/

If you hear the video, it sounds like they are speaking Russian (?). Based on the awesome dash-cam videos that I've seen on YouTube from that side of Europe, I'm not surprised.

Yes, my understanding is that it was in Russia. Makes sense. Cobbled together and shoddy workmanship, dashcam video available, probably also high speed and vodka involved.

Yes, it's in Russia. Yes, high speed was a major factor. Alcohol, more then likely (definitely since the driver fled the scene). Too bad we don't have the dashcam footage - maybe the driver took it with him
It's different than supercars as the internal structure, materials and forces are different with the mid engine mounted vehicles and front engine SUV such as Q. Q is a tank, and should have stayed wrapped around that pole or should have taken the pole with it, period. I bet we are looking at a frankencar and the result of such a shoddy reconstruction attempt.
