Q5 and Q7 are two best selling cars in 2018.

Overall Audi sales were down, but the Q5 especially helped save them from being much worse...no surprise about the Q7...best large lux suv out there ...for now

I'm surprised sales didn't slip more, the german brands are not a good value compared the newest, classed-up American and Japanese brands. Almost bought a 4Runner myself this time around. Also the luxury brands are all going 4 cyl turbos and not lowering their prices.

They still own what the competitors wish they had, and that is the drive

What's surprising is the A8 taking a 50% hit. I get it the A6 was old model and everyone saw how good the new one would be but the a8? crazy

A8 is not a surprise as the new one is on the horizon, and has been released elsewhere. Buyers are generally savvy in that segment.

U.S dealers are already selling the new A8. No V8 yet, however.

New A8 launched before the A6, A7.

The A8 is not a volume car - it never has been. At best it sells a few hundred units a month.

But you're spot on - 3 quaters of the year, there was no real A8 to be sold. Every dealer wanted to get rid of what they had in stock as early as possible. Same would have been true for the A6 and A7, but the recall forced us to be stuck with 'em.

Our C7 A6 sales were one of the best last month for us. People accepted the older platform for a discount.

That is really true - that is what made me buy... again.

all depended on the price of the car to begin with, and the deal structure (and other incetives they might qualify for), but yes, in that general ballpark

For a the price of a very entry level A4, one can get the higher spec, larger A6. So people with kids, it was a great choice because the car had much more trunk space and rear seat space. For those who disliked the A4 screen, the A6 retracts. But, it has most of the tech that the other cars have (Nav in the cluster, carplay/android auto, pre-sense, etc

my dealer is discountibg $15,000 internet price on pretty much all 2018 A6s right now. On some of these that's even more than 20%

Some of mine ended up more than 20% as well. All deal specific/car specific, as pricing varies widely on MSRP. All my 3.0s are gone, just 2.0's left, and that has been what's gathered the most attention as well.

correct, there is only one 3.0T left. So much for the 2.0T value engineering option LOL

If new 19 Q7's are being discounted by as much as $11,000.00 (no doubt for more expensive ones) according to some here, what will the discounts be in the spring /summer just before or even when the fl'd 2020 comes out...+/-20%?

That's the thing, 10%+ now and the '20 is still approx a year away.
