Hi everyone. Just wondering if you have any experience with what must be a standard Volkswagen mechanism.

You know the power outlets on the back of the center console under the (in my case) rear climate controls? Well, my kids managed to kick it out of place. Nothing seems broken but the mechanism seems complex- there are guides, motion dampeners on gears, and at least one spring.

I don't see an easy way to make it click into place. Any of you have a description of the technique?
