I am not surprised, I've seen people decide on a car based on how loud the turn signal relay is clicking. (I hated how loud BMW's was, for example, but I still drove them for 6+ yrs)

Why not, I feel compelled to wash my A6 twice as much as the Q7, because the wheels get dirty so quick, takes an hour, it adds up, lol

Because you can change the brass pads to ones that emit less dust. Simple swap.
