No, I retrofitted my 2014 RS5 and a 2006 A3 3.2 just recently with deAutoLED bulbs and no codes were thrown. These are quality bulbs.

The only problem is that deAutoLED does not sell the reverse lights for the Q7. Appreciate your response and experience on your other vehicles, but I am still looking at a good suggestion before I just start buying random LED bulbs and trying them out.

Here is the link to the reverse bulbs I put in the RS5:
194/921 Error Free Bright Reverse LED Fits:Audi A3/S3/RS3/SQ5/Q5 + Many More | deAutoKey

The page says "Interchangeable/Also known as: 194 921 T10 T15". The 2017 Q7 reverse bulb is a W16W (pulled from erWin repair manual) which is the 921/T15 (a common backup light). You could shoot deAutoLED an inquiry to confirm.

I did in another post and this was their response:

Do you have reverse LED's for the 2018 Q7 available yet? Looking for a brighter option than the OEM
Sorry we do not, we have reverse for every car model but the Q7.

Interesting. I am going to have to go back and see if the wattage is different on these bulbs. Thanks for the post link.

If anyone decides to update their reverse lights, please share some before/after pictures if possible.
like others, I usually use the flashers in combination with rear fogs to get more lights reflected since the backup camera brightness/contrast cannot be adjusted- unlike other German vehicles. It's a shortcoming of MMI, which could be fixed a few lines of codes.
Thanks.
