Got my Q7 this week
Hi everyone!
Finally got my Q7 this week and I've had some time to play around with it. What a difference compared to MK1 that I previously had.
Previous model had 2G MMI so getting fully used to the new MMI took a few days.
I've been playing around with getting it to play videos and from manual it says the maximum resolution for videos is 720x576. Tried this format and the result wasn't good. Keeping the video in "automatic" or "original" mode has black borders everywhere. Putting it to "zoom" made it full screen cut a bit from the top and bottom but video seemed distorted.
Tried 720x404 as used on some previous versions of the MMI but still black borders. "Zoom" mode works quite well and doesn't seem to be distorted (at least not too much).
Anyone know which would be the best resolution to have it full screen? Is it even possible without zoom?

Those rims are so beefy, it makes your Q7 look small!
From this angle, we can clearly see where all that cargo space went, look at that rear slope.
Enjoy your nice ride. Sorry I can't answer your question about video, just passing by, dropping some compliments. Care to post more pictures of that nice S line front? We got S envy here in states.

Very nice! Those are my favorite wheels on the Q7. Too bad they are not available for US-spec builds, at least not when I ordered my '17.
I even inquired about them with my dealer and showed them web photos of these wheels from the European launch. At the time said they were not even available as an accessory for the US market and importing a set would be very costly, beyond the already high price for oem wheels in general.

Thank you all!
I'll make some more pictures when there's a nice sunny day outside, lately it's been raining almost every day.
Didn't know it wasn't available in US. Solar glass on the Q7 seems a bit different than on my 2007 S8 where it has this purple-ish look all the time but on the Q7 it seems to come out more when there's sun outside.
Yup, it also has HUD. With traffic sign recognition it's quite useful but sometimes I've noticed it misses some signs.
My model is 3.0 TDI (which I've read is also unavailable in US?) and it doesn't sound or look like a diesel in any way. Would have wanted to get a 4.2l engine but now that I've driven it for some time I can't say that it lacks power.
