That seems to suggest to me that he manages to live on the moon for about 2 weeks at a time.

In that case it may be hard to answer his questions as Audi builds special packages for different parts of our solar system not available here on earth .....

Bluetooth obviously is the most convenient way, but if you will be stuck with the MMI permission warning, it will get annoying fast. See other threads.
Wifi is used only by MMI Connect I believe, and nothing else. Using Wifi between car and phone, you can use MMI connect app and stream music etc (MMI app on your phone has streaming radio built in) but it's not much better than streaming through bluetooth.
Thanks. I was trying to work out in particular why I need the WiFi and it appears I don't. In particular I think my phone settings are set to generally prefers wifi calling to cell, and it seems slightly pointless to have the car using cell service to create a WiFi zone, so I can make a VOIP call over it.
