Considering a Q7, have questions on Lane Assist, B&O and more...

Currently have a MY17 Volvo XC90, we're considering a Q7 3.0T now. The two things that I will miss from the XC90 is pilot assist which works great for long trips and the Bowers & Wilkins system.

I drove the Range Rover sports TD6 yesterday but didn't like the harsh ride and the Meridiam sound system is a joke.

Wanted to get feedbacks from actual owners before we go drive one on Friday. Any difference between 2017-2019 MY? Is the B&O and Lane Assist option worth it?

Between the Premium Plus vs Prestige, is it worth the price difference?

I stopped getting the sound upgrade on cars in 2004. They're nice but stock has been good on the BMW and MBs and now, Audi, that we've bought. And sound quality is also subjective so that you'd have to try for yourself or someone with the BO sound system with a good ear and an audiophile will probably answer that better.

Also, I don't know how the lane assists differs from Volvo, but the Audi's is very accurate when engaged and the adaptive cruise control is also very good and doesn't put skid marks on the seat of your pants with sudden brakes and accelerations. If the road has poor line markings, it will disengage but that's probably for the best.

The Prestige models do get the upgraded Bose sound system standard vs the base sound system in the trims below it. So it's not completely stock audio and I think it sounds great.

YOu can search about the B&O, but the lane assist is not a stand-alone option. Its part of the Drivers Assist package, so you may want to research that package instead

Had a loaner Q5 earlier this week with the B&O. Wish I didn't The bass was punchier than Bose in my Q7. Now I'm ruined. But the Bose is pretty good still.

thank you, I think the B&O is a winner.
is there a way to tell by looking @ photos to know if it has B&O?

I'm sure the speakers have B&O written all over them

As mentioned before, Lane Assist is part of the Driver Assistance Package. It is a great feature and can be turned off if not needed or wanted in certain driving. The Bose system is great and if set correctly will satisfy most anyone. I ordered my Q7 with all options except adaptive air suspension and the B&O sound system. Skipped the air because the ride felt too wallowing at times and couldn't see the $5,000 for the sound system.

2018 Q7 Argus Brown/Cedar/Luxury Package/21 inch wheels/Driver Assistance/ColdWeather/Towing Package/Roof Racks/Pet Cover Rear Seat/First Aid Kit/Cargo Cover.

Easiest way to tell, the B&O has pop-up twitters in each corner of the dash.

Depends on your budget. B&O is superior especially with a CD sound source. Main problem is glitchy electronics and crappy customer support from Audi. You will be a beta tester at your own risk.
