Dead Q

Update today: source of failure found. The main wire harness between the electronics in the trunk and the rest of the car has a junction under the carpet beneath the back seat that failed. Apparently Audi chose to use a soldered connection for this junction instead of a more common plastic clip connection and the junction failed. They temporarily re-connected the harness which allowed the car to come back to life so they finally were able to move it into the shop. Now waiting for a new harness connection and should have the Q7 back next week. Service advisor stated that he thinks this problem is due to a very poorly designed structure and even though this is the first time this problem has been reported in the new Q7, he expects to see this again in other Q7’s.
Production date?

Does this look familiar to your problem?

Hey buddy, just want to follow up with you. How's everything going with your Q7 after the fix?

My dealership found an error code related to the transmission control module. It seems as if they didn't want to bother to dig the real problem out, so they replaced whole thing.

OP, thanks for sharing this - so sorry - but so glad they figured it out.
Our 2008 was returned to AOA due to stalling - it would stall in intersections in downtown - leading to ignorant honking and middle fingers at my poor wife baby girl. (AOA made it right, in a big way), but wanted you to know that I sympathize for sure.
