Dirty door bottom

Dirty door bottom
So it has been raining a lot two weeks ago here in Florida and I have been driving on wet roads, not flooded. And after each day of driving I see build up of sand around the wheel wells.
So yesterday I decided to give my car a wash. After finishing the wash, I dried the car. When I went to dry the door I noticed that the bottom was completely covered with mud! I couldn't believed that water/mud had accumulated on the bottom of the door and door sill. I have never seen that in all of my 20 years of owning cars.
I have to say this is a poorly designed by Audi and it looks like the wheels are the culprit as it pushes the water against the door.

I usually wipe the door jambs and under the doors after every wash and I have noticed this too. But can't really say it gets any dirtier than any of the other cars or SUV's I've owned over the years.. My wife's previous Lexus SUV looked just as bad after driving through rain and especially when the roads are dirty after snow..

+1. It's actually a good design. No exposed rubber which will break down over time, it doesn't trap water, and it seals well. It just needs to be wiped during a wash.
