Default Discount on Ordering a 2017 Q7

Quick question for you. How much discount can you expect to get when custom ordering a new 2017 Q7?

Haven't bought an Audi before and was curious what type of discounting can be expected.

Thanks for any info!

Welcome Aboard!!

All depends on your dealer, visit multiple dealers, e-mail dealers, do your homework. I e-mailed 3 dealers, I told them all what I exactly wanted to order, told them to quote me and whomever wanted my business the most via e-mail would get me to walk in their door to place an order. I was honest about what I was doing with all 3 dealers and 1 of them stepped up to the plate and wanted to do business. After I walked in, I made an even better deal than they offered via e-mail and I ordered from them. I ended up getting about 5.5% off MSRP. I've seen a few people get as high as 6% off just as a FYI.

Good Luck!

What eppieguy said. You can get anywhere from 5-8%. All depends on the dealer

If you a getting offered less than 5%, you are not looking hard enough. Many dealers cannot offer this genuinely I believe, but many can.

Part of the country could come into play. When you live in a place, like me, with one dealer 2.5 hours away and another 2 hours away, and each of them having their closest competition 5-6 hour drives away, they tend to hold the line much harder on pricing.

Your only choice is to buy from a distant dealer and then have it serviced locally. Some people do that, but some prefer to buy from the local dealer to get better service.

That said, due to the hit in resale value of buying at the end of what will be close to a two year model year, I'll probably wait for the '18 if the dealer doesn't give me a bigger discount than they normally do.

Depending where you are (Your location isn't filled in on your profile) you could contact SYMAWD as he works for a dealer (NJ) and I have seen that he has done over the phone orders for other members here and given them a respectable price.

Audi of Arlington in Virginia offered me 5% off without even pushing hard. In stock, transfers and orders.

Here in Florida, I contacted about 10 dealers all across the State and had the best offer matched by my local dealership. 5% off was the best I could get.
