Flip those two clamps down and then just pull up...whole thing comes off the top...the two thin rectangular intake pipes coming from the front just slide out.....the oil filler extension needs to be twisted off as well....the round pipes on the passenger side I just left attached cuz both the oil filter and dipstick tube are on the drivers side. Dipstick tube (will just be a black cover that doesn't have the dipstick part) is right at the front part of the engine.

Hope this helps...

Is this the oil tube? It's the middle black cover that looks like a dipstick for something. Name: IMG_1666.JPG

Is it recommended to do an Oil change after the 1000 miles break in period? Which engine oil are you using/recommended for DIY oil change?

So, how do I go about removing the clamp? I had a hard time trying to remove it.

I'm planning just to buy the castro synthetic oil that is recommended for this engine.

Do you also replace the oil filter along with an oil change? I am new to this DIY oil change hence would like to understand this more.

I had the same question because it is not the recommendation. Audi recommends the first oil change after 5000 miles.

It looks like the initial service for MY2017 vehicles in the USA comes up at 10,000 miles now.

The black cover for the oil tube just pulls straight out...nothing else to do.

I also just changed oil @ 5K but used 0w-40 M1
