Driving a new loaner 2.0 Q7 from dealer and..
man does this thing feel underpowered.. Wow!!.. I guess if you were commuting and doing a lot of highway miles it might be ok.

I can't imagine how underpowered that engine is in the Q7...I had a loaner A6 with the 2.0. What a dog after driving the 3.0 Q7 with the supercharger....Never again on the 4 bangers...

The vehicle is simply too heavy to have adequate acceleration with the 4 cylinder. I wonder if in the future Audi might add additional HP with an electric (say +200HP or so) in combination with a turbocharged 4 cylinder? That would be interesting...

Underpowered or not it makes up a good amount of Q7 sales. It's $6,400 less than a 3.0T and gets a lot of people into an Audi that otherwise may shop elsewhere. At ~$56k for a premium with convenience and cold weather it's not a bad car for those cross shopping with the non-german brands which tend to be priced less.

Here is the 2.0t vs the 3.0t. The difference is that the 2.0t sounds so unrefined compared to the 3.0t, yet it's performance isn't terrible and if you compare it to the previous gen Q7 it's really not bad.

Those figures aren’t *terrible* for the 4 banger but man it’s gotta be working it’s little heart out the whole time, I’d imagine. And here I thought the 3.0 didn’t feel all that quick lol

Terrible
Those numbers are terrible for the 4 banger, no matter how you color it. The old Q7 was a dog, so no reason to compare to terrible and call it not bad. Just my opinion.
