I can't imagine how underpowered that engine is in the Q7...I had a loaner A6 with the 2.0. What a dog after driving the 3.0 Q7 with the supercharger....Never again on the 4 bangers...

The vehicle is simply too heavy to have adequate acceleration with the 4 cylinder. I wonder if in the future Audi might add additional HP with an electric (say +200HP or so) in combination with a turbocharged 4 cylinder? That would be interesting...

Underpowered or not it makes up a good amount of Q7 sales. It's $6,400 less than a 3.0T and gets a lot of people into an Audi that otherwise may shop elsewhere. At ~$56k for a premium with convenience and cold weather it's not a bad car for those cross shopping with the non-german brands which tend to be priced less.

Here is the 2.0t vs the 3.0t. The difference is that the 2.0t sounds so unrefined compared to the 3.0t, yet it's performance isn't terrible and if you compare it to the previous gen Q7 it's really not bad.
Zero to 60 mph: 7.0 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 19.2 sec
Zero to 120 mph: 31.1 sec
Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 8.2 sec
Top gear, 30-50 mph: 4.2 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 5.0 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 15.4 sec @ 91 mph

Zero to 60 mph: 5.5 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 14.5 sec
Zero to 120 mph: 22.6 sec
Rolling start, 5-60 mph: 6.4 sec
Top gear, 30-50 mph: 3.4 sec
Top gear, 50-70 mph: 4.3 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 14.2 sec @ 99 mph

And here is the 272hp 3.0t in the old Q7.

0-30 (sec): 2.7 (2.9 w/TC on)
0-45 (sec): 4.8 (5.0 w/TC on)
0-60 (sec): 7.7 (7.9 w/TC on)
0-75 (sec): 11.5 (11.7 w/TC on)
1/4-Mile (sec @ mph): 15.7 @ 87.5 (15.8 @ 87.5 w/TC on)
0-60 with 1-ft Rollout (sec): 7.4 (7.6 w/TC on)

Those figures aren’t *terrible* for the 4 banger but man it’s gotta be working it’s little heart out the whole time, I’d imagine. And here I thought the 3.0 didn’t feel all that quick lol

i was sold a 2.0T, because it was literally the only Q7 available on the lot with my specs, medium spec, premium plus,

Regretted 1 week after,

now

$20,000 down payment, all that will go to waste if i trade in

Default Terrible

Those numbers are terrible for the 4 banger, no matter how you color it. The old Q7 was a dog, so no reason to compare to terrible and call it not bad. Just my opinion.
