Default Dual Speedometer MPH Always in Center Even in Metric (Fixed)

I was finding this very annoying as I tend to look at the digital display in the dash for my speed. As it came, it showed MPH in the center even when using kilometers for distance and speed. I asked my two closest Audi dealers about this. They both took more time explaining to me that it couldn't be changed than it took me with my very first interaction with an ODBEleven to fix it. Are all Audi dealers this way?

At any rate, speedometer pictures before showing dual mode when in metric:

Large gauges showing MPH in the center and km/h on the dial.
Zoomed out gauges showing both km/h and MPH in the center.
Dash Board Control Unit
Turn off dual_speedometer (no).
Sanity is restored and you can now drive in Canada without being confused about your speed.
Zoomed out also only shows km/h.

I should probably add this is a US car which I drive to Canada often enough.

You need to get the ODBEleven device and associated app from your phone or other Bluetooth capable device's app store.

This is the device I used:

Thanks. Do you have to buy credits to use the app?

That is obnoxious. With the old analog displays that just had both full time, it was easy enough to cross the boarder although my experience in Canada is speed limits are optional anyways. I rode in a Canadian friend's car once and she was driving fast through town, and I looked over and saw like 60 on the speedometer without thinking about the fact it was reversed, she had to remind me. I think it was the gps in this car (or the heads up) that would list fractional miles (1/2, 1/4, 1/8) but if you changed to km you would get a nice linear scale .1, .2, .3 ...

Looks like I purchased the pro version for about $33.

It's useful for other mods too, you can do a search for them. One I like is you can have the gear indicator show the gears in Drive like it does in Manual mode. It can also scan faults etc.
