Have you tried a different dealership? regarding the engine sound and how it downshifts have you tried a different one with the same engine on the same road to see how it sounds and down shifts?
Does it loose a lot of oil?

I know many dealerships work like this to deny, deny, deny the problems (under the pressure from the manufacturer?), but $74,000 for a ****ty car isn't acceptable to me.
Audi better stop this crap or their future market share will tank...DieselGate is NOT the customers fault, it's theirs, so stop trying to make us pay for it!

I really question the 4400 pound towing capability,

imagine 6 passengers and 1 driver with 4000 pound carriage,

how would the 2.0T engine from the A4 perfom

I totally agree - the 4 cvl trend is a scam too - the EPA MPG testing is crap (probably in EU too) - I think we are victims of politics, they have to show lower MPG numbers across their lineup - pretending to me better on gas, but only barely.

I waited for 4 months to find the right 3.0t for these reasons - the scam of the 4 cyl (price and politics) and the towing capacity.
