I just bought a 2017 allroad. Got the Q7 discussion through a search for extended warranty. I read through this thread and found it to be mostly about policy cost and who is underwriting. Quite helpful, but I was hoping to learn more about experiences folks have had with using policies for repairs. Are they easy to use? Are many claims denied? Does it pay off for our complex cars. That sort of thing.

The deductible is a fixed amount that is set when you buy the policy. For example, $250, $100 and $0 are common deductible amounts when purchasing an extended warranty. Any costs over the deductible for a covered repair are paid by the warranty company. This is why a lower deductible policy will cost you more at initial purchase.

For a factory warranty at an exceptional price I suggest you contact Troy at FD-warranty.com for a quote.

Value is in the eye of the purchaser. What may be a good value for one person (who may not want to have to deal with Indy repair shops for example) may not be a good to another. If you are a technically inclined person you may want to pass on it, if not it could be a good deal especially if you option out the vehicle.
