I'm at 42k miles. Front brakes are completely done. Rotors were scratched heavily at around 40k miles. Audi would not replace brake pads without replacing rotors. They also said the OEM rotors are too slim in depth, and would not sand down the surface to accommodate the new brake pads. Hence, I started this thread.

ok so I cross check the tirerack centric rotors (12533158) and found out that tire rack has the wrong picture associated with the rotors. if you check out the same rotors at rockauto. it shows the OEM style rotors. even when i googled the part number, the image come up as the OEM style rotors. anyway you can try to order from tirerack and see if it is indeed an OEM style rotors. if i'm not mistaken i read somewhere that audi has started using centric parts for the brake systems.

I'll wait till end of May, then I might have to settle for the modified OEM rotors, but it'll cost me an extra $450.
Any update on your order? I was about to pull the trigger, then came across these from Brake Performance. Anyone use or would recommend? Looks like a 200 saving over Adams for me (was considering the street F&R with stoptech front only from Adams)

I had to settle for some modified OEM. It just shipped and will be here Monday. I'll take pictures of the rotors. They'll be installed on Thursday. Pictures of rotors on also.

42k miles and still on original rear pads and rotors. They still have a bit of life left. Dealer just did the front brake pads for the squealing TSB and I opted to replace the rotors even though they were still ok. I probably could have gotten away with the old rotors but for piece of mind wanted the new pads to bed in with new rotors. I was able to get OEM rotors for $228 a piece.
