Not strange. What Audi does in the UK has no relationship to what they do on this side of the pond.

Ahh right guys. Sorry, my bad, I meant July or Aug 2016 not 17. Mine was April 16 and does not have it enabled.

Whether you have the auto function depends not only on the build date but region and whether your firmware has been updated by the dealer.

The earlier 2016 builds can be coded to auto on with OBD11 or VCDS using the following coding:

Module: 09/Central Elec
Long Coding
Automatic PDC front
Old Value: Byte 37 / Bit 1 off
New Value: Byte 37 / Bit 1 on

(This may have been updated in OBD11 by now to be covered with "short coding")

Does anyone have a build date in the year 2015? I didn't check for my Q7's directly, but I know that it was sold to the Previous owner in 2016 Janurary(according to carfax), which means it must have been built in 2015. Under the MMI Software version, I see 0888, yet my front sensors still do not automatically engage. I ordered OBDELVEN and will attempt to activate them. Will give update if fail or success.

I would not expect auto front sensor engagement on a late 2015 or early 2016 build. Mine was built in March 2016 and I had to activate it with OBD11.

Same here. Mine was built in December 2015. Used OBDEleven to activate the front sensor, and it has been working fine for two years now.

Awesome. Thanks. Looks like I'll have to enable it myself.

OBDEleven enabled front sensors perfectly. Now I can tell stupid Audi that they are a bunch of liars, as I now have proof.
