when to open the hood
if water in the engine is low ....is there a warning sign? .... i was wondering... when does one ever need to open the hood and check for stuff.... apart from filling up the wiper fluid..... i have never had to check anything else..... just fill up the oil when prompted ...... what is your experience?

Had to add half a quart oil at 2200 miles but none required since with 4800 miles now. You should not have to add water to the cooling system. Just some windshield washer fluid and you are good to go.

In the 9 months we've had the Q7 I have only opened the hood to add washer fluid, and to wipe down the engine cover and other under hood areas after a wash..
