Got an astronomical lease quote; is this right?
Got a lease quote of $1,200/month including tax, on a 2019 Q7 prestige with some options, MSRP $74,000, 36 months 12k miles/year, zero down.
I went in expecting something in the $800's based on reading the forums as well as the leasehackr calculator. Are they ripping me off or am I just way off here? |

This could actually be accurate. Welcome to Audi-leasing on the Q7s...:o Since you are not far away from the magical $70K-mark, you might want to consider financing instead... |
Wow @ those numbers |

Wow @ those numbers In general, I recommend financing on a Prestige that's less than $75K. The entry trims tend to have slightly better conditions so it's not as painful. In my case, leasing paid off due to the huge amount of negative equity Audi has to deal with once I turn my vehicle in after 3 years (vehicle will have at least $10K negative equity, perhaps even $15K). Now, if you are planning to keep the vehicle longer than that, financing wins as well. |
I gotta tell ya.....a Q7 isn't worth $1,200/month. That's just silly when compared to the cost to lease alternatives.

Those numbers are bananas...finance/self finance if you can.

thanks for the replies. … I might have been too optimistic; but felt like their quote was also excessive. Would the 9’s be realistic? Alternatively, they had a Prem Plus for MSRP $69,xxx, would that be realistic for ~9?

Yeah, something is amiss - check the following:
1. Are they overcharging for AudiCare? (Yes, AOA allows that.) 2. Look at the whole deal - what else is in the quote? Add ons? Over-charging for items that have standard prices? 3. Ask for more for your trade-in! 4. Is your credit sucky? Your money factor is a key expense - find-out what TIER VW/AUDI Credit has you in (1 being best). 5. Get at least 8% off, if not walk out they'll call you back. 6. If you are definitely getting another Audi after this one, get a lower mileage lease - HIGH chance you won't pay for over-mileage if you sell your Q7 back to the dealer at the least end (don't turn it in, make sure they "buy" it.) That's all I got for you. |
