Default Homelink - 2019 Q7 pairing fix

Huge thanks to FrankS5, in the A5 subforum here. He fixed my issue. I have a 2019 Q7 Prestige and could not get my Homelink paired with my Marantec Garage door and opener. Below is taking FrankS5's steps and adapting them for the 2019 Q7.

1. Make sure the car is off.
2. Pull the fuse for the side assist, the name of the fuse in the manual, its the fuse for the lane change / blind spot assist. (It's the one I am pointing to in the 2nd picture below). It is the 4th fuse from the bottom in the rear driver-side cargo area fuse panel. It's a yellowish brown color 5 amp fuse.
3. Go through the programming process and sync the opener via the MMI instructions/walk thru.
4. Test it out a few times.
5. Turn off the car.
6. Put the fuse back in.
7. Turn on the car and test it again. Homelink should work now with the fuse back in and side assist functions back on.

Just wanted to say thank you Seagrave77 , you were spot on. I did exactly what you said and I was finally able to pair.

We just picked up our 2019 Q7 and had the issue with homelink. The garage door openers are 11yrs old and operate on a frequency that causes the issue. This post saved the day. Many Thanks.

Thank you so much for posting this! Everything instantly paired they way all the instructions said it should with this work-around! I am not confident the dealership would have been able to help me out with this issue (which was going to be my next step) so thanks for saving the day and saving me a trip and more hours of frustration!!!

Wow thankfully I had no issues with my 19. Paired both garage doors in about 3 minutes.

Wow, super looking Q7. Of course I am biased because it is identical (at least on the outside) to the one that we have coming!

Wonder if it is the age of the opener? Ours is only about 4 years old. We shall see.

Mine is about 2 years old.

Edit: one of my programmed doors no longer works. I guess it forgot
