This won't be for most of you, but hopefully it helps the few in my situation.

So after the first six months of free PRIME and PLUS, I wanted to keep the in car wifi (I have a work phone and can't tether, but at least no phone bill). So I paid for six months more of PRIME and PLUS. Sometime this last Nov or Dec my six months ran out and I was debating signing up for another six or 18 months. Meanwhile I noticed my WiFi was still working. So now I just get billed $20 a month and my WiFi is still working. I sort of miss the traffic, but google maps is far more accurate for me.

My point is they tell you that you can't have PLUS without PRIME, and I'm saying that doesn't appear to be true.

Perfect timing as well. My subscription is about to end in a week and with the new free features starting March I'll give it a try without spending the $200 and see if it works for me as well. I'm also paying the $20/month.

I had active prime since I got my vehicle 2 years ago and extended the subscription several times so far for 6 months (and $199) at a time. The plus is paid monthly. I'm using the WiFi for my Alexa and with the new free app-features coming March, I think I give it a shot and save the $200 for now. after all, I could always get prime again if I want...

Looks like PLUS went up $5 a month. Not sure when that happened, haven't been on this page in months. Also curious if anyone paying $20 will be grandfathered in.

I just don't get this phenomenon setup by these AudiConnect Tech guys here. I mean the car is literally an Internet hub for you but can't provide internet connectivity to itself! Jeez.
