I'd say 90% of the Q7s on the lots in my area come with DAP. Or it certainly feels like it. It seems almost unavoidable, which is fine, because it seems to be some useful safety features for the car.

Default DAP is a great, great feature

And this generation of the software is especially good. I have a 17 Q7 and a 16 A7, and the Q7’s DAP interface is so seamless compared to the A7.

I love my A7, and I do not like the aesthetic of the next-gen A7, but if I could get the newer DAP in an A7, I’d jump.

That is a long way around to say that DAP is a cool feature. Audi got that right!

Based on visual inspection of the front bumbers of Q7s in my area, I can say that less that 50% of Q7s (surprisingly) have DAP. Seems like thats a feature many people pass up

Same here, I definitely see more Q7's without DAP than I do with it..

We've had our Q for a year now and I have to say I'm very happy with the Luxury package and DAP. I wasn't sure how much I'd use the massage function either but I have to tell you with the seat warmer on and a stretch massage, this old man is all smiles whenever we get to our destination!

Who knew a Prestige model with Luxury and Adaptive Chassis, with black on black was such a rare car for dealers to have.

Default Just got our 2018 Q7.. here is my opinion

We just received our 2018 Q7 Prestige - upgrading from a 2011 Q5... my opinion on the options we chose:
1. Galaxy Blue Metallic - Wife didn't want another White, Black, or Grey car... if not White or Black, most of the other options look grey to her. The Galaxy Blue was cool.
2. Prestige - this throws in a bunch of options and allows additional options we wanted including 6 cylinder engine. Soft close doors are cool (but would not get this option just for that).
3. Driver Assist - wanted this for the MANY safety features... and so far have really enjoyed every aspect. Lane control, adaptive cruise, The automatic traffic driving (wow), etc, etc... so much of it is automated, it makes driving in So California traffic enjoyable (ok... maybe not).
4. Tow package - we tow a small travel trailer - wanted V6 for higher tow weight
5. Adaptive Chassis - only allowed with Prestige - We wanted this for three reasons:
- Air suspension is smoother
- Air suspension makes towing better - auto leveling
- Four wheel steering - shortens the curb-to-curb turning diameter by about 3 feet - that makes it turn sharper than a Q5. AND easier to tow
6. Warm weather package - we live in So California... wanted sun shades and seat vents
7. Cold Weather package - we really would NOT have ordered this, but it was on the car that was on the dealer list of cars available. After getting it.. found that the heated steering wheel is nice.
8. Audi Rings - would not have ordered this either. looks cool when you open the doors.

Options I could not justify:
1. luxury package - Massages while driving? Leather on surfaces you don't sit on? Who will know? it was just too much
2. upgraded sound system was just too much. I like music, but that sound is more expensive than anyone would purchase for a house.
