Hey Guys,

Today I placed order for the new 2017 Q7. This is my first Audi. Always been a Bimmer guy. I need some clarification on 'production week' printed on the order. It is printed as 1216. What does that mean? 12 to 16 weeks? December 2016? As you can see I'm confused.

Any information appreciated.

12th week of 2016. Approx end of March.
My build is 0816, so around end of Feb. Should have it about 4 weeks after build date

As a fellow BMW guy, I think you will be quite pleased and things will seem quite familiar. I-Drive and MMI work very similarly. I also think, like me, you will enjoy a slightly different feel. I have been driving BMW's for 15 years. It is nice to get in the car and have things feel different yet not frustratingly so. There are very few times that I have found myself saying, "I wish they did that like BMW does." BMW HUD is slightly better with the road names at upcoming intersections. TPM shows the actual tire pressures. That is about the only things that I have found that I wished the Audi did like BMW.

Thanks. So it only then VIN will be available right? Other than that how do you track you order? The document I got from dealer had only options that I ordered and some dates. It didn't have MSRP, which he said will be available only when VIN is available. Is that true?

Something must be wrong with my order. You're saying that you ordered on 1/21/16 and already have a build date. I ordered mine on 12/23/15 and do not have a build date and they say it is 2-3 weeks out from getting a build date.

I just place an order for the Q7 Prestige Tofana White on 1/25. Got info on the order on 1/27 with production week 1616, Assigned Port: Houston, TX, and Current Location: Germany Factory. I am currently dealing directly with the sales manager since my first order(11/21/15) from another dealer screw up my order. I also have ASP discount of 6% with this order.

Just wondering how much discounts(if any) everyone getting? After fighting tooth and nail with salesman, they were able to give me a discount of $2800 over MSRP. They also promised that if there is any audi incentive at the time of pick up(factory ordered) they will honor that too.
