Default Just Purchased a 2017 Q7!

We just purchased a gently used 2017 Q7 Prestige with the luxury package, drivers assist package, cold weather package, adaptive chassis package, tow package and a few accessories. This is the wife's car so the question to the group, should we purchase an aftermarket extended warranty for this car as she keeps her vehicles for 8-10 years? I'm thinking yes given all the on board electronics and we've never owned an Audi so any help or advice is appreciated!!!

Congrats and welcome! Whats the build date of the vehicle (see door label)? Extended warranties are designed to benefit the seller overall, so no saying where you come out. Its a personal call, really.

Side story: I just helped my nephew buy a new civic, and the dealer offered an extended warranty for $4800. we declined, as I always do, but the persistent finance guy kept going and eventually offered it for $1200!!!! What a scam. Declined that too. Its a civic!!

Mileage was at 16k and the price was $59K. I'm hoping that it was a "fair" deal.

I don't see the build date on the door, thank you for the information.

That is a really good price given it was an $80k build new. Gotta love depreciation. Was it from a private seller?

$77k on an $82K 2018MY MSRP and it seems you have the same options as mine

I'd say solid deal.

Good eye as the MSRP was $80,315. It was not a private seller.

Congrats on the Q7, it looks great and seems like a good deal..

IMO it seems like you would feel more secure with an extended warranty so I say shop around, you have nothing to lose. Contact several dealers and you will probably be surprised by how much their prices differ..
