Key fob needs new battery
2017 Q7. Got in the car this morning and received a warning message that my key fob needs a new battery. Anyone know the cost? I will be at the dealer this Friday anyway getting some warranty work done.

Most dealers will replace it for you for free - especially if you're bringing it in for service anyway.

Secondly, if you order a 6 pack of the CR2032 batteries on amazon (or online) they are less than half the cost you would pay for them at a local pharmacy, grocery store, hardware, etc...

I got the same message a couple of weeks ago.
I still had one in the house due to the fact that my wireless rain sensor uses the same type of battery. Ordered a few on amazon as replacement.
Changing - as you can see in the video - is super easy.
