Default Lease VS Buy

I am new to the Audi world and have always leased my BMW's.I was never particularly comfortable as I felt like I was renting a car but I guess with the depreciation on a 7,it works out fine.Infact i was lucky as both my BMW's were involved in accidents and i walked away at the end of lease.

I have heard that AUDI leases aren't great compared to a BMW.I was wondering how many here lease VS buy their AUDI's.

I have just returned my first lease/buy car a Mercedes E class and it worked well for me but I never ever felt anything for the car. Not because it's a bad car just the attachment.
So when I looked at the q I was swaying towards buying before I started but when I looked at the figures it was a no brainier. Audi were demanding far too much I think this was foundered upon a we can attitude.

I am actually financing my new Audi through the bank where my wife is employed to take advantage of the low employee-only interest rate. I have tried leasing before and I didn't feel comfortable with it because I know the car is not under my name which means I have to be extra careful with it so I won't upset the lease agreement. Leases are a great way to acquire a more expensive vehicle while maintaining a low monthly payment. However, one other drawback I didn't like is you end up with nothing at the end of the lease. When you go into another lease, the cycle just continues perpetually until you stop leasing. Also, I buy cars that I like so I get attached to them after owning them for a while. Unless I am using my car for business, which I don't, leases don't work for me.

If you are the type of person who likes to have a new car every three or four years, then leasing will work for you. If you tend to keep your cars or plan to keep your car for a long time, say more than six years, have it financed instead.

I was always encouraged to lease a BMW as you wouldn't get hit by the depreciation.I get attached to my cars and when I lease,I just felt awkward.I just felt like it was an expensive rental but the fact that I didn't have to deal with any problems and the fact that I don't have to worry about selling my car was good. The closest dealer for me is 2 hrs away and my profession doesn't allow me to have all weekends free. One more reason all these years to just stay in a newer car.I have heard horror stories coming from all European car owners when it came down to maintenance.Traditionally BMW leases made sense to me as they project their residuals better.
I don't know if Leasing is equal in Audi world.

Every car lease is essentially the same as renting with an optional balloon payment at the end if you buy it. With Audi, if the lease depreciation is higher than a BMW, you can make out at the end by buying the car at a favorable price then either selling it for a profit or keeping it, It sll works out about the same in the end.
