Default Go See The Dealer If You See This Warning Signal

I saw this a couple times on my 2017 Q7 over the last week. Popped my trunk and noted that the coolant level was extremely low. Brought it into the dealer and they found a coolant leak at the water pump. Get it checked before it becomes a bigger issue, preventative maintenance is the key to keeping repairs down to a minimum. Correct, topping the coolant off is a band-aid fix. It is most likely the water pump housing. Get it fixed, if it's out of warranty I would say this is a known problem and have them chip in for all/part of the labor if you agree to buy the parts. Hope this helps!

Audi should really issue a TSB for this - too common a problem

I looked yesterday at my 18 S3 and saw it before leaving for work a little above the minimum line. Can't see or smell anything leaking. When I purchased this CPO car I saw it was at the maximum level. A little worried as I have already taken the car in for a new haldex pump and noisy sunroof when opening/closing.

I saw that my coolant was at the minimum line yesterday morning (car was cold). The sensor has not told me that it is low or anything yet. I am wondering if I should be worried and take it in for service.

Let's try this again - you are asking this question in the MKII Q7 forum.
