I'm looking into the H&R module. I used a Carlsson module on an S class and it worked quite well. There were dip switches to set the amount of drop which made for easy adjustment. I need to find out a bit more about the H&R for the Q7. If it is like the Carlsson, it just converts the voltage that the sensor provides to fool the processor thinking the car is higher than it really is. Links will mechanically accomplish the same at a fraction of the cost.

Installed airmatic links today. Very simple 20 minute job on a lift. Looks like it would be a PITA without one. Pleased with the front drop but rear did not come down an equal amount with same adjustment to links from stock measurement. Will fine tune it after installing 22" wheels and tires later this week. Ride seems very much stock with a 1.25 drop.

I just installed mine yesterday. Took 45 minutes w/ no lift. But I got the same results you got until I noticed today that the rear links are designed to extend for the drop. The fronts shorten for a drop. The sensors work in reverse order.

Does lowering with the links stiffen the ride? I want a stiffer ride. Mine is too bouncy. When you lower it with those links don't you loose travel so you would bottom out on bump stops easier?

In theory yes. Lowering a car without changing anything other than the ride height (essentially giving it less travel) would result in less ride compliance. Air ride helps combat this versus a steel sprung suspension.

Steering is tighter, the vehicle goes where you point it with little body roll. Minimal bounce (very minimal) with lowering links on factory air.

Well said!!!!

Thanks. Good looking car. Almost looks like you could benefit from some spacers in the rear.

Thanks but I'm not a fan of spacers. Heard of too many people that had them crack. I travel at high speeds and don't need that problem. I don't mind the tucked look. If I wasn't in such a hurry I would've customized my offset. But I'm happy with these Vossens.

Does the lower ride affect alignment at all?
