Aside from that (which actually could be some sort of US regulatory thing), a US-spec Q7 can't be painted red? I understand - kind of - no AI, no auto parking, no auto hill-hold, no matrix lamps. But - paint? Especially since OTHER models have red paint and make it to our shores. Makes about as much sense as BMW restricting colors for some tech packages. Or limited wheel options for Canadian vehicles. A 20" US wheel on a 20" Canadian tire will somehow cause the Universe to implode? Listen Audi - just take a US wheel off the assembly line stack and bolt it to the Canadian car right beside it before you ship it to the port - It'll be OK, I promise. Oh, and run the US Q7 through the Canadian red paint booth. The car won't disassemble, and some US customer might actually buy it - in fact, quite a few might actually order one who wouldn't otherwise buy an Audi - trying to recover from Dieselgate much? And I'm not even a rocket scientist.

I'm with you man. It's bizarre. And it's not just a Q7 or Audi even. VAG in general are way out of touch with what the US models get vs what rest of world sees. The lack of customization and options is frustrating AF.

There was a Mexican spec Q7 here in Texas a few weeks back with the same bumpers (sline package). Had the sequential turn signals. Wheels sucked (20" weird looking wheels) but it sat lower, had OEM TV screens in back headrests and just looked overall fancier. Oh and it had that sexy blue color, which i believe only now for 2019 MY it's available in the states.

In answer to 911eric’s question, I got the rims through a company rwcwheels.com The nice thing is they offer rims designed for Audi with proper offset and bolt pattern as well as ability to use your existing bolts. I’m happy with the fit and look, they are also available in 20” as well.

Thanks! Unfortunately it looks like RWC aren't too available outside canada. Oh well.

OP- how much extra for that paint job? Also, what selection of colors did you choose from? I love paint-to-sample cars to be unique. Nice work.
