Default Minimum oil alert came on

So other day I had been driving around running errands and the an alert came on say that my oil level was at minimum but I can still drive and to add a quart of oil.
My q7 is 2018 and when the alert came on it had about 6500 miles on it.

Anyone else experience some like this?

i ended up adding a quart of oil and the light went off, I’ve had about 12 cars(mostly lease) so far in my life and have never seen this on a new car.

Quite common. Your car used about a quart (litre) over 6500 mi which is on the higher side but also not surprising because cars can use more oil during break-in. Also, you don't really know for sure if the oil level was at maximum from day one. Nothing to be concerned about.

What is your style of driving, are you getting any blue smoke on hard acceleration or excessive soot around the exhausts?

Mine did that at 6500 and 10 months in. I added a quart. Then had 1yr service oil change after 2 months. then the next oil change happened after a year but I didnt need to add oil in between

Just a PSA for everyone on here...
When my car was in for service recently and the recall fix, I checked the app right before picking up the vehicle. It showed that the oil level was a bit above 1/2 between min and max. It was almost down to min before I had dropped it off, so I knew they hadn't added enough oil with the change. I called my SA before leaving, and he had it topped off for me to full. Probably bought me a month or two of not having to top off...
Check your oil level after an oil change....

It’s also good practice to check your oil level at least twice a month or more. Just don’t keep driving until the light comes on.

Our 2017 3.0 w/18k never needed oil (it was serviced 1x per year)

Being down a 2-3 bars is normal, nothing to do yet. when it's close to being down to a minimum, it means you are a quart low. At that point you add a quart of the Castrol Edge
