Default New Battery Reset via OBD11?

Does anybody know if the computer reset procedure that is required when a new starting battery is installed can be accomplished with OBD11. I'd like to change my battery myself and avoid the trip to the dealer for this.

OBDII eleven pro can do it, go to adaptations - battery, change serial no. VCDS can do it. If by your "OBD11" = OBDeleven standard, then you may need to manually do the coding? Any other OBDII likely cannot, maybe Carista can?

Yes, sorry, I do have OBD11 Pro. Thanks for the info. I'll look for that next time I hook it up.

Just to clarify... I found a Battery Adaptation in Module 19/Gateway. Is that the one?

Just change the serial number and that's all that's needed when a new battery is installed? No calibration procedure to trigger?

In my case, I'll be changing to a gel battery with better amp-hour rating, so I'll change those parameters as well.

Does it have a parameters for gel batteries? OEM's are AGM batteries which has a different charging profile.
