Default New Q7

Took delivery 2 days ago. My wife's new ride is a Premium + Carrera White (her only color choice), with Vision, Warm and Cold Weather packs, 20" wheels, and Bose.

We used 1K in Audi dealer cards (from 2 TDI Goodwill Packages), $500 Audi loyalty, a 6% reduction from MSRP, lower mileage on the lease and a low money factor of .00146 to allow the '17 Q7 lease to be only 3 bucks more a month than our outgoing '14 Q5 TDI. Back in October I had contacted the dealer about a '17 Q7 and was quoted MSRP only. With increased availability, things have really changed.

I had gone to the dealer only to activate one of the TDI "Goodwill Packages" that we had received, when I saw this car being unloaded! One thing led to another, which led to the decision to forget about the Jaguar F-Pace we had on order. That was to have been a late June delivery, to coincide with the Q5's end of lease.

It's time to move on from the TDI mess. Fortunately we lease, so we're not taking the financial hit that so many others are experiencing as they try to part with their Audi diesels. I'm an "altacocker" (Yiddush for an old fart) who is in the early stages of retirement. We had leased two '14 TDI's (Q5 and A6) to help with my mostly highway driving, but my 100 mile a day commute has now been reduced by half. Back to gasoline for the time being, but looking forward to Audi's answer to the Tesla down the road.

Now we need a few days to learn all the new tech stuff!

I ordered Glacier white with Pistachio Beige, with Layered walnut. Love this combination of colors. Very elegant and feel spacious!

The Layered walnut inlay would have been my preference also. Our Q7 was optioned exactly as I would have ordered it, except for the Gray Oak inlays. It didn't seem worth it to order a different car and wait for three months.

You'll love the Q7 it's amazing!
