They are pretty high in retrospect. I saw a 70k msrp TDI prestige priced at high 50s. Granted it's a prestige and very nice but it's old layout and technology. I mean for high 50s you can get a brand new Q7 with newer technology and styling.

I'm with you, I would never pay that for a vehicle with outdated tech, just to have a diesel. I think our Qs have pretty good gas mileage, where the need for a diesel is lessened

Here in Canada, they range from 64k to 77k for a 2015 TDI *new*.

Even a 2018 Q7 with Komfort package is 66k, or you could get a 2018 BMW X3M for (61k)

Why would anyone buy a 2 year old car at those prices?

There are diesel freaks out there who probably will. I wanted a diesel this go-around, but Audi killed the market. If they are priced like (a bit higher adjusting for mileage) a used car then it makes sense. But I cant imagine them selling for MSRP or even 20% below. People here have reported 10% off MSRP for new 2018's. I can see 35% off making it a compelling argument when looking for a "used" vehicle. If looking for a new car, a 2-3 year old new car doesn't make sense if a new model/platform is already out

For the people after them, the diesel is the only aspect of the car they care about. They didn't care about the tech stuff one way or the other or the body, they wanted the drivetrain. Couple that with the really advantageous financing that was being offered and the extended warranty on key components, and they went almost as quickly as we were allowed to sell them. I only have a few left between all models. We started with around 12

So, on average, what % off MSRP were you guys selling these for. I'm just curious. Thanks

isnt Audi America the one financing the 20% ? If so then you almost start negotiating with the dealer at 20% and work your way up. Shoot for a 10% discount that would cut into dealer's profit and work down from there. I mean 30% MSRP is much more enticing and reasonable. Still with the new body out, it's hard, unless like some people said, they want the diesel only.

Different models had different programs (discounts from Audi are set by model year on the TDI), and some deals we allowed more on trade than vehicles may have otherwise been truly worth as a trade, etc.

Ok, fine. Give me a % on the models. I'm simply asking about the discounts these are going for. I know there are a lot of ways for dealers to make money (trades, etc.) but lets just say a straight sale.
