I traded my 2014 Touareg TDi for my Q7 and I don't regret it, it had older technology and on top of that you have to deal with the "diesel" label which now-a-days is about as bad as being a member of ISIS. Unfortunately VW brought this on themselves so no sympathy from me, especially since I had to wonder what would happen to my T-reg for over 2 years. It's now gone, good riddance! At this price range, mpg and cost of gas becomes irrelevant anyway

I wouldn't buy it at those prices either, but I know there are people who really want the diesel for one. For 2 that's an ample enough discount that makes the car affordable to some where the new MY simply isn't. Or perhaps people are looking at it like buying a low mileage used car (because that was plan A and this looked like a better option).

I live in Illinois, also won't go into politics, but proud of my 2010 TDI. I plan to keep it until the last moment in 2019 before selling back to Audi. In the meantime, kind of a "stick in the eye" to fellow residents. On the other hand, I do receive a thumbs up from fellow Audi drivers from time to time.....

Just buy a used low milage one with plenty of warranty left or CPO, unless you plan on driving the vehicle into the dirt your just going to eat 3 years of deprecation the moment you sign the paperwork.. so you better be willing to ride the deprecation train to the bottom anyhow.

not really, cars deprecate on average 15% a year, so 3 years of deprecation.. is alot more than 20-25%.. Used 2015 Q7 TDI Prestige w/Low miles can be found for under 40k, with 25% off its still well over 50k for a new one.
