yeah the clarity is great and its not full IR I don't think..its some sort of hybrid image because occasionally you can see reflections in metallic objects etc but the major limitation is here in the SW where temps get high it doesn't auto detect pedestrians and animals which limits how useful it is..but on dark roads or where there is vegetation near the road where animals can jump out its very useful.
