Plug module into car. WITHOUT foot on brake, press Ignition button to turn on Instrument display. Shut off climate control and radio to conserve battery if you like.

I will assume you follow the instructions of the OBDEleven to sync phone to module.

Once app is loaded, go into APPS (you will need 100 credits to unlock the feature). Once purchased or unlocked, there is a dropdown menu. I selected last option, VIM/SMS/Email. This unlocks each while driving. Once selected, to the right of the dropdown menu there is a checkbox for confirm. Once done, exit out of app, and RESET MMI. Press FORWARD on both buttons next to touchpad dial, including pressing down on the touchpad dial button.

Worked as a charm!! however I didn't follow the last few steps (i was a bit confused) let me tell you exactly what I did so just like what you said turn on the ignition without pressing the brake. connected the phone and the device And paired them. went on video in motion app and purchased then enabled and after 20 seconds it was a success. I press on the brake and turn on the ignition changed the gear to drive and the movie was still on.

I think this will help many others thank you again

Good to hear that it worked. You effectively did the same thing for the last step by turning the ignition off/on.

I'm sure it's been posted a million times on this forum, but I've got two sick little kids and I'm too tired to do a search and read through an assortment of posts, so I apologize for even asking this question: where did you buy your OBD11?
