Odd phone call...
So I had my Q7 in for the fuel rail recall yesterday (also did some updates for airbags and front camera I guess). This morning walking into work I get a call from the service advisor asking if I was 'close by' because they wanted to come check something out on the vehicle (he didn't say what). I'm like 10-12 miles from the dealer. All he said is it did not concern any safety or reliability issues.
I must say I'm a bit curious but not enough to make the trip.
I'm having flashbacks to when my mom's husband found a wrench or a screwdriver or something when he went to change the oil in this vehicle not long after they had some service done somewhere. (to be more clear: the tool was found in the engine, it definitely was not his)

I got a call like that when I owned a Cadillac Escalade. Showed up, and service manager showed me how they lifted it too high, and crushed the roof from door-to-door when they hit the overhead lift beam.

Years ago someone I know rec'd a call like this from his Nissan dealer, when he showed up he was told one of the porters had backed his car up into a fence...
OP - any update?

I had an email communication from them "its something we just need to visually look at but not a top concern at all" and to stop by at my convenience. Which will probably be my 30k service in a month or so.

Had my 30k service yesterday turns out my initial hunch was correct as I probed about it. They thought they may have left a tool in my vehicle (they did not).
