Oil capacity?

Interesting. The manual (page 376) does not list the oil capacity. It says you need to go here: https://www.audiusa.com/help/maintenance Going there however tells you nothing.
Pages 317 - 320 talk about oil and oil consumption as well as changing your oil. But nothing lists the amount of oil you need to replace.

According to our sources, oil, coolant and fuel capacity for this version of 2017 Audi Q7 3.0 T Quattro are as follows: from automobile-catalog.com
Engine lubricant oil capacity: 6.95 liter / 7.4 U.S. qt / 6.1 imp. qt
with filter change
Engine coolant capacity:14.5 liter / 15.3 U.S. qt / 12.8 imp. qt

I believe it is something like 6.8 - 7.2 US Qts. That is what the parts department said when I bought oil and filter. I bought 8 Qts but only put in 7 and my car has been sitting dead center for 7k miles now on the digital meter.

Did you do the oil change yourself? Which oil did you use? I believe its castrol synthetic but need to know the exact type as I am planning an oil change at around 5K miles.

Yup, did it with the MityVac pump. Its the OEM Castrol 5w-40 synthetic. I changed mine as well at the suggested 5k mile mark and will be doing it again soon at the 12,500 mark.

Where did you buy the oil from? I am able to get Castrol Edge Professional OE 5W-40 from eBay but its only 6 Qts.
