Default Oil change in Audi Q7 2017

Hi
Now as the first scheduled maintenance is at 10K for 2017 Q7, is it the same time the first oil change is due ?
I have 7000 miles on odometer and getting a warning to change the oil. Does that mean I need to change oil even before going for first scheduled maintenance ?

What is the recommended mileage interval for oil change for Audi Q7 2017 ?

Thanks, Pinakee

I think its 10k or 365 days, could you have hit the time interval? (also its possible if your vehicle sat somewhere for a while the time interval started well before you took possession) You can verify the date in the MMI.

I assume you're not getting an oil low message.

I am getting a oil low message and my current mileage is under 7k. I still have 3 months to 1 year, so as far as scheduled maintenance I am fine to go at 10k or 1 yr but concern on the low oil message at 7k.

Low Oil message not that unusual. Just need to top off the oil.

Are you getting change oil and low oil messages?

As far as the low oil, your dealership will top it off. Or you could buy some oil and fill it yourself.

Thank you guys. Let me visit dealership this weekend. If they can top it off free would be great, if not I just need them to recommend a engine oil as per oil spec.

Do you guys know any good engine oil matching for Audi Q7 SAE 5W-40.

It will probably be the Castrol product.

The specs are listed in the owner's manual and you can get it an any decent auto parts store.

For the first time, I would suggest doing a full oil change versus mixing a quart in. Its good to do a full drain the first time to get any engine residue etc out of there. The engine's been breaking in during this time. My local dealer is offering a $89 oil change

We have exact same situation. Took delivery in August 2016. 7,000 miles now. Check the VIN tag and I'll bet you'll find the date of manufacture to be April or May 2016. I'll also bet the dealer didn't reset the service indicator before giving you the keys.

Just reread your post. I thought you were getting the "Oil change due in X days". We got low oil message and I just added a qt of Castrol full synthetic 5-30.
We live in the hills so our cars (Q7, A6 and the BMW X5 we had before) all needed oil topped off between regularly schedule oil changes. Only the 1999 MB E320 didn't need oil added.
My mechanic friend tells me that the hills will cause autos to consume a bit more than flat land driving.
